Constantly in Debt?

Constantly in Debt?

If you find yourself seeking help from credit consultants especially if you have done so more than 3 times, you might have already identified a behaviour pattern in yourself. As humans, we do what we do usually because of an emotional drive. However, as humans, we are not always aware of what we are doing and what emotions are driving these behaviours.

You might have heard that there is a connection between our spending habits and certain mental health disorders, such as bipolar. But did you know that you don’t need to have any of these disorders to drive you into emotional spending.

You might want to ask yourself these questions for the purpose of expanding your self-awareness. When you’re spending your money, are you giving yourself a reward? If so, for what kind of behaviour or accomplishments? When buying, are you feeling super optimistic about the future? Or are you distracting yourself? If yes, what are you distracting yourself from? Answering these questions might be tricky but might assist you in comprehending your emotional shopping. Once you understand why you shop, you can start changing your patterns and get yourself out of chronic debt.

For support in understanding what lies beneath your spending patterns, call Carol.
